For edition XIV on the 17th of February, komm schon Alter will invite two familiar faces in an unfamiliar setup, being their very first b2b. This master combination was born when Prosper Rek played his ADE set last year, including a tune Aaryon created. We got a match. In between the busyness of releasing new music on labels as Einmusika and Manual Music and the preparation for their upcoming gig, we set up a little interview about their musical taste and what they’ve been up to lately.
Na 12 succesvolle edities in Amsterdam en soms daarbuiten, blikt komm schon Alter 10 december terug op hoe het allemaal begon. Wij spraken oprichter Susanne over de eerste drie jaar van het 24+ concept. ‘Ik hoop een plek te creëren waar niemand zich oud voelt.’
Op 11 mei vindt Komm Schon Alter plaats in Amsterdam, een heus festival voor mensen met een ‘ouderdomssyndroom’. Jongeren die van vaagheid niet op hun benen kunnen staan zijn niet welkom. En er zijn meer van zulke initiatieven. Hoe ziet zo’n feestje voor oudere jongeren eigenlijk uit?
Geen rijen, geen geld voor de wc, kluisjes die geen zeven piek kosten en gewoon goede muziek – dat klink als een avond waar je bij wil zijn, toch? Susanne (32) was het zat om zich oud te voelen tussen het jonge publiek dat rondhuppelt in de clubscene, en besloot daarom feesten te organiseren waar geen plek is voor kinderprobleempjes. “Nur für 24-Jährigen und älter” is daarom ook de slogan achter de clubavond komm schon Alter.
